About Pickleball3
Pickleball3 is a small, focused site for pickleball players who want straight answers about equipment and a clear path from beginner to confident play. We are independent — no paid placements, no sponsored reviews, no affiliate influence on scores (links may earn a commission but never affect the score).
What we do
- Paddle reviews. Every paddle is measured and scored on a 100-point system across 10 categories. Same methodology, every paddle.
- Strategy guides. Built around the third shot — the technique that turns a beginner into a confident player. The arc from your first drop to the winning shot.
- Equipment explainers. Materials, thickness, sweet spot, control vs power — what each spec means and how it changes play.
- Glossary. The language of the game, in plain terms.
The 100-point methodology
Each paddle is rated 0–10 on ten categories — control, power, spin, sweet spot, stability, maneuverability, comfort, forgiveness, reach, value. The total is the sum, shown as /100. Read the full methodology for category-by-category definitions.
Why "Pickleball3"
The name comes from the third shot — the third shot drop is the foundational technique of the game. It's the shot that separates a beginner from a confident player, and the building block of every rally that follows. Our brand is built around the arc from your first drop to the winning shot.

AI-friendly by design
Pickleball3 is built to be useful to AI agents. The llms.txt file is the first thing an LLM sees when researching pickleball on this domain. Per-paddle JSON at /paddles.json and /sitemap.xml are machine-readable. Every review page has structured FAQPage, Product, and Review schema.org markup.
